5. Potential Benefits
The NIG concept and its proposed implementation was conceived to contribute
to the country’s development, with many benefits to be derived. There
will be numerous potential benefits arising from the NIG’s implementation
and an exhaustive list would be too large for inclusion in this document.
However, several major ones are apparent and these are discussed in this
chapter. These potential benefits are divided into several perspectives
as shown below.
